It's the Final Countdown

We have less than two weeks left of school. Some days it's hard to believe and other days not so hard. We say farewell to Korea on June 18th.

There is a lot to get done in those two-ish weeks, including saying MANY goodbyes. One of the most challenging things in living abroad is getting used to saying goodbye often. Just this morning we said goodbye to our dearest couple-friends in Korea – Erik and Breckan. Goodbyes from Korea can be so strange though. With some people they feel very final, as though we may never see them again on this side of Heaven. But with others it feels more like we’re saying “see you later,” which is how it was with the Holst’s, thank goodness.

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. God has blessed us IMMENSELY with deep, beautiful friendships in this country (and in many other ways too).

---------------------------------

A quick rundown of our next few weeks:

June 5: BFS International Day; BFS End-of-the-Year Dinner
June 6: No school
June 9, 10, 11: Field trips for Justin and/or me at school on each of these days!
June 12: No school; last Community Group
June 13: Last day of school
June 14: Wedding for 2 co-workers
June 16: Last Sunday at Redeemer ICC
June 18: Leave Korea!

---------------------------------

BUSY BUSY! All good things, just a lot of them. Somewhere in there we are supposed to pack and say even more goodbyes. But God is good despite being busy!

Justin is still applying for jobs. He has had multiple interviews, and now we are just waiting to hear back from schools. Waiting is hard, but we are confident that God is going to provide at the right time, because He always does. We have no reason to worry or fear.  Being a worrier, this is quite freeing! J

On June 18th we fly out of Busan to Rome where we will stay for a week! We then will make our way to Venice with a night’s stop in Florence en route. After a few days in Venice, we board a cruise that will take us to Croatia (Dubrovnik and Split) as well as Athens and Ephesus before heading back to Venice. We fly out of Venice on July 6th and will land in Chicago that evening!

We look forward to seeing many of you soon!
