We took a leisurely walk to Borghese Gardens today with a few stops along the way. We found the hotel where Tim and Lissel (my brother and sister-in-law) stayed two summers ago. We found a few churches to wander into before we found a shady spot in the grass at the park to read, snack, and rest our feet for a while. We continued wandering through the seemingly endless park when we happened upon one of my favorite things - a zoo! We decided to look it up online and are actually going to go there tomorrow.

After we left the park, we went to the Spanish Steps. I was really excited to go here after seeing lots of pictures. Unfortunately, this too is under a lot of construction, so the façade of the church is covered in scaffolding, and the fountain has a temporary wall around it and no water. Major bummer. I guess we just had to use our imagination a little more than anticipated.

The rest of the afternoon included relaxing with watching a movie, listening and watching Justin's Dad preach online live back in Upland! We're happy for relaxing days since we still have two weeks of our trip left!
