Fulfilling a Dream....

One of the reasons we chose to go to Boracay over other places in The Philippines was because one of my friends who I grew up with now lives there! Her family lived in in The Philippines when we were younger, and ever since then, I have wanted to go there. It was such a blessing to catch up with her, to see where she lives, to learn about her ministry, to encourage each other, to fulfill one of my travel dreams, and to just see a familiar face.

Thanks, Carla, for taking time out of your busy schedule to see us!

Boracay Sunsets

We saw some of the most amazing sunsets in Boracay. One evening we went on a Paraw Sail (not parasailing - see pictures below) just before sunset. We'll just let the pictures speak for themselves. There are a lot of them!

Ariel's Point

Ariel's Point is one of Boracay's most popular tourist attractions, and especially with a jumper (aka Laura, who did the heptathlon at IU) travelling with us, it was a must.  We ventured out there one day with about 50 of other tourists. The trip included the options of cliff diving/jumping, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming, and a traditional Filipino BBQ lunch. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful location. It never got old to just sit and look out at the crystal clear water.

Get ready for lots of pictures!

Filipino BBQ - so good!
Pork, chicken (we avoided the whole fish that you could pick pieces from), potatoes, glass noodles, fruit

enjoying the beautiful day

Blessed to have this girl in my (our) life.

Classic Justin pose. :)

The picture of me jumping turned out blurry. But I did it!

Laura jumped off the 8 meter board. We didn't dare go near the 15 meter board!

I love this shot.
