We cannot believe that we head to South Korea in only ten days! This idea that began nearly 8 months ago is now about to become reality. We wanted to update you on what we have been doing this summer and share a few prayer requests as we get ready to go.
Our summer has been full of spending time with friends and family. In June we spent ten days on a road trip out east to visit several friends as well as Justin's brother. We drove over 2000 in those ten days and got to see some beautiful places while spending time with some dear friends. The day after we got home from that trip, we went on vacation with Justin's family for a week. We stayed in a cabin on a lake in Indiana and got to spend a lot of quality time together, which was so wonderful. From there we headed to Urbana, IL to see Justin's Grandparents. Then we went up to Wheaton, IL to spend a few days with more family.
After a low key first half of July, we flew out to Seattle to spend a few days with more of Justin's family before heading on our Alaskan cruise with some of my family. It was great to get to know and spend a lot of time with family that week while witnessing some of the most beautiful scenery we have ever seen.
Now we are home again, busy packing and getting ready to fly to Busan! We are surrounded by lists of things to do and suitcases to pack, all while cherishing our final days with our families and friends. We covet your prayers these last few days as we say goodbyes and figure out how to fit our lives into just a few suitcases.
We are so excited to have August 11th finally within view! Please pray for us also as we are trying to continue to prepare for teaching as much as we can. Pray for peace as we near our departure date and have to say goodbye to those we love so much. Thank you for all of your support and encouragement throughout these last few months!
Psalm 145: 1-3 I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name forever and ever. Every day I will praise you and extol your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom.
